Summer camp at Wonderland is a great introduction to horses and a way for those who ride to further their knowledge.

Campers participate in daily riding lessons, learning the basic principles of riding or advancing their present skills. Incorporated in the learning is fun time with trail rides and games on horse back.

The students not only ride horses but learn how to care for them as well. They are taught hands on skills of grooming, tacking up and anatomy.

During the heat of the afternoon campers enjoy art lessons. Each year the projects are done with a theme such as print making and clay.

Class size is kept small with a maximum limit of 10 students each week. Beginners receive 1 on 1 instruction and intermediate and advanced students receive instruction on a 1 to 3 ratio as well as individual instruction.

The student to adult instructor ratio is 1:3

My daughter has attended at least one week each summer for the past 3 years. She is now 9 years old. She enjoys be outdoors, hanging out with her horse friends and meeting all the horses and ponies. She comes home exhausted, which means she had fun and did not sit around all day. She rides everyday and gets to play. The art projects are priceless. We will attend again this summer.
