Camp Invention

Camp Invention is a nationally acclaimed, weeklong summer day camp that’s top priorities are to provide quality enrichment in the fields of science, math, history, the arts, but most of all FUN! All activities are hands on and inquiry based. It allows all children entering grades 1-6 to be successful and learn through teamwork, subject immersion and discovery. Taught by local educators!

Brunswick County Parks and Recreation

Brunswick County Parks and Recreation and Communities In Schools of Brunswick County (CIS) are teaming up to offer a summer full of fun and educational activities at an affordable cost. This ten week summer camp called “Brunswick County Summer Camp 2009” will operate on and off site from four locations: Union, Belville, Southport and Supply Elementary Schools. Activities will be action packed and will include two field trips per week to area attractions. On-site activities include sportacular fun, tennis adventure, art from the heart, popcorn toss, fast-crafts, geo-caching, trivia, and yes… quiet reading. Program information will be available at 5:00 PM the following dates and locations:  March 30 at Belville, March 31 at Southport, April 2 at Union and April 6 at Supply. Registration begins April 7 at each of the CIS After School elementary school locations throughout Brunswick County. Airlie’s “Shades of Green” Fine art Camps

Inspired by the environment and artist Minnie Evans’ artwork, Camp projects will reflect recycling themes and inventive reuse of materials. Each fun-filled week will include 2-D and 3-D projects, which cover a variety of art concepts. Ages: 6-10 Price per week: $130 (Airlie members) or $145 (non-members).
